Upon arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, your private driver will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may tour the Hassan II Mosque, one of North Africa’s most elaborately designed mosques. Dinner will be served at your hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Fes with a stop in Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King. Enjoy a visit to this Imperial city, including the Hassan Tower and Chellah. After lunch, continue to Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco. Dinner will be served at your riad.
After breakfast, begin your guided tour of the medina, one of the world’s largest walled cities. Explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets, and many other Moroccan art objects. Visit the King’s Palace, the tanneries, and potters. Enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch, complete the tour and return to your hotel for the evening. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant.
After an early breakfast, head to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Spend the morning exploring the 2,000-year-old ruins. Lunch in Moulay Idris, one of Morocco’s holiest cities. After lunch, tour the imperial city of Meknes before returning to Fes in the evening. Dinner at the riad.
After breakfast, begin your ascent across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Enjoy the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages. Stop for lunch in Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. Arrive at the Kasbah in Erfoud, where a hot shower or a dip in the swimming pool awaits. Dinner will be served at the Kasbah.
After breakfast, explore the small desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani. In the afternoon, take a 4-wheel drive vehicle to the majestic Sahara sand dunes. Enjoy a camel trek to watch the sunset. Spend the night in deluxe Berber tents. Dinner will be served in the camp.
After breakfast, return to the 4x4s and head back to Erfoud. Journey behind the High Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate, with a stop at the towering Todra Gorges. Travel along the picturesque Dades Valley and the Route of 1,000 Kasbahs. Visit the famous film-producing town of Ouarzazate. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, tucked away in the High Atlas Mountains. After lunch, continue over the mountains to Marrakech. Check into your hotel and visit the famous Jemaa el-Fna square. Enjoy the local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbeque pits. Dinner at the Riad.
After breakfast, take a guided tour of Marrakech, discovering the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Djemaa el-Fna. Conclude with an exploration of the souk. Dinner at a local restaurant.
